Hello, I’m Rob Spanton. I’m 22 and in 2008 I graduated from the University of Southampton with a first-class MEng in Electronic Engineering. I’m just starting a PhD at the University of Southampton that’s to do with self-assembling and self-repairing robots. In my spare time I help run a robotics group, design and make electronic things and use computers quite a lot. You’ll find that I’m a proponent of open source software, and think that you should be too!

Oh, and I also play guitar. Mostly electric these days.
